Harumph. Seems that I am

Harumph. Seems that I am doing something incorrectly in Blogger, since my post from the 18th is not showing up. Oh wells.

I’m almost finished with my very last holiday quick knit gift…a purple fuzzy scarf extra long ala Gap…should be way cool. I’m planning on giving it to my brother’s girlfriend–she teaches three year olds at a preschool, and I know they’ll love petting it.

Then, I get to knit for me. But I think first I need to finish spinning up the fuschia mohair I’ve been working on all year. It’s Tuesday, so I should be spinning, right?

Nope. Off to finish the Xmas shopping first. Thank god the stores are open late.

And now for your reading pleasure…
I’ve copied thursday’s entry into this one. Still not sure why it doesn’t show up, but here you go:

The sleepless in Louisville saga continues…my brain is in overdrive, preparing for the holidays, and as a result, I was awake again yesterday and today at 4:45 and 4:15 respectively. Something’s got to give, and hopefully it won’t be my marriage…it’s hard to be sexy when you’re yawning….

One more teacher gift/scarf to finish before tomorrow morning and I should be in good shape. Never mind that DH and I are supposed to go to his holiday party tonight and then go christmas shopping afterwards…I kind of pitched a fit and insisted that we needed to do our “Santa Claus” shopping tonight–before his father and 1/2 brother arrive on Saturday. Men think shopping is so much easier than it really is!

And I’m still trying to figure out how to manage going to the Louisville SBSTT on Tuesday, since DH, DFIL and D1/2BIL are going to the UofL vs VMI basketball game on Tuesday evening. Guess I should call Viki and see if perhaps Jordan would stay home with them for me…

Anita promises to teach us some bead-knitting techniques, and I’m excited–I’m hoping this is something I can adapt for my small bag project. Or maybe even a shawl for me! I love Freyalyn’s Maja-prizewinning shawl with the diamonds and beads–But I also love feather and fan…so we’ll see.

OK, time to get back to work–and find some more chocolate. Don’t suppose anyone would like to send me some chocolate as a reward for posting three times this week????

Here I am again. I

Tuesday, December 16th, 2003

Here I am again. I had a burst of energy last night (perhaps it was the cold medicine I took), so I stayed up watching Monster House and Monster Garage and did my SheepThrills Christmas cards. Of course, I only had stamps to send eight off today…must stop at the Post office on the way to my meeting tonight to get more stamps and mail the rest. Next task is to do DH’s holiday cards. I suppose I should do them for my own company as well…

Then I woke up this morning at Carolyn o’clock (4:30 ayem) and put the first coat of polyurethane on the two trays that Hannah and Luke painted for their grandmothers. One more coat this evening ought to do it, and then I can pack them off and mail them. Of course, I can’t decide which grandmother should get which tray. I suppose I could ask Hannah, since she might have an opinion at five years old…

Also finished the better part of an eyelash scarf in red for tomorrow’s potluck exchange. I think I’m going to make up a basket with the scarf and some of Maggie’s soap and some chocolate…

I’ve told DH that he can choose any sweater in the Knits for men book and I’ll make it for him. I think I might just try to buy the yarn rather than spinning it myself–if I wait for myself to spin it all, I’ll be three years on the one sweater…

Time to go back to work. See y’all!
