OK, so I’ll admit that the title has absolutely nothing to do with anything other than I had the theme song in my head “Here he comes, to save the day!!!”)
First, an update on the BAT/KAT program from Claudia: I managed one day of commuting on my bike, two days of driving the little car, and two days of the SUV. Net effect: probably not much, but it’s a start!
Other green efforts this week: I packed my lunch four days out of five, and only took one trip “off-campus” for lunch/coffee–and we did a HOV run, with four of us in the same vehicle.
Reused grocery bags, but ended up bringing home about ten more (why! can’t I remember to keep the reusable bags with me???)
We still haven’t turned the air conditioning on yet (although it was tempting last week when the temp hit 93 degrees F). This week has cooled off, and so I’m glad we put it off.
No real progress on novel writing lately, although I’m still doing a lot of thinking. I need to start doing some writing exercises (kind of like the “100 things” meme) to start developing my characters some. Are there other good memes out there to try?
OK. time to put the clean laundry away. I finished a pair of socks this week, and I need to finish another pair in the next week or so (it’s the second half of the second sock that I need to finish). After that, I think I’ll start working on my falling leaves shawl.
