Cracks me up, but now I have to bring him inside so the neighbors don’t complain.

It’s starting to look like there is only going to be one flower stem–which actually turns out to be typical for the amaryllis. The green in back will be the foliage to support the bulb after the bloom.

And look what else I did today!

One of the local grocery stores had a sale on blackberries, so I decided to whip up some jam! I’m not as big a fan of cooked berry jams (I prefer the fresher-tasting freezer jams), but I wanted to be able to share some with friends and neighbors, so cooked jam it was. I’m hoping to find oranges on sale this week so that I can make DH some more marmalade–it’s his favorite, right after the plum jam. I could kick myself for not buying up a ton of black plums when they were on sale and available earlier this fall.

No pictures of knitting, because for the most part, it’s all gift knitting. Here’s hoping I remember to take some photos before I ship it all off to its respective recipients.

101206 – Amaryllis Cam Day 5 and sick day

Monday, December 6th, 2010

The good thing about being home with a sick boy who loves Harry Potter is that he is very quiet as I’m working on my reading projects for my writing job. The bad news is that he’s so darned cute (and I’m so sleepy–hello again, 4 ayem) that I just want to jump on the couch and snuggle with him.
